How can I get a copy of a police report?
The Admin Section is open from 8:30 to 4 Mon, Tues, Wed Fri
(closed during lunch) and 1:00 to 4:00 Thurs. You can call them direct at (706)
791-4278. Traffic Accident cases are normally ready as a final report within 30
days. Cases requiring detailed investigation (robbery, larceny, etc.) may take
longer. Insurance companies requiring copies of reports can call or mail
requests to:
Directorate of
Emergency Services
Attn: Admin Section
431 B Street, Bldg 29717
Fort Gordon, Georgia 30905
There is no charge for these reports.
Where do I go to pay my traffic ticket?
There are two kinds of citations issued on Fort Gordon. The first is the DD Form
1805. These citations are paid by mailing payment to:
Central Violations Bureau
P. O. Box 70939
Charlotte, NC 28272-0939
The other kind of citation is the DD Form 1408 which is forwarded to the offender's Battalion Commander/Director for action. There is no specific fine associated with these citations.
We have a problem with speeders in our neighborhood.
What can we do about it?
Call the MP Operations Sergeant at 791-6464 and request that this area be placed
on selective enforcement.
Someone has abandoned a junk car in my housing area.
Can the MPs tow it away?
Yes. Call the MP Desk Sergeant and give the location and description of the
vehicle. An MP will come and place an abandoned vehicle notice on the car. If
after 72 hours the owner has not been located to move the vehicle, a contract
wrecker service will remove the vehicle and dispose of it.
I'm going away on vacation. Can the MPs check on my
quarters?
Yes. Call the MP Desk Sergeant to arrange for a security check of your home. He
will ask a series of questions to help us best protect your property while you
are gone. Also please be sure to contact the desk as soon as you return.
Why does the Desk Sergeant ask so many questions when
I call?
Desk Sergeants and dispatchers are trained to try and get as much information as
possible to best determine the nature of the problem and its seriousness. Since
they dispatch police, fire and ambulance units, they have to be sure that they
send all of the necessary units to the scene. On emergency calls, the dispatcher
sends the MP’s while they are still gathering information.
