Center of Excellence
Mission
The mission of the Marine
Detachment aboard Fort Gordon is to provide Joint, Inter-service, and Marine
unique training in the Satellite Communications field and to provide Subject
Matter Expertise (SME) in the technical and logistical evaluations of new
Satellite Communication Systems.
Develop Formal Training in accordance
with standard inter-service training standards and agreements in order to
continue the transformation of initial entry Marines as well as follow-on
training for Marines from the Operating Forces.
Support Joint inter-service
ceremonial functions on Fort Gordon and liaison for Marines transiting through
the Army Eisenhower Hospital Regional Medical Center.
Other courses offered by the detachment are
the Introduction to Satellite Communications course and JC4
Planners course (JC4PC).
