Beginning 1 February through 15 April, the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate supports the Fort Gordon community by providing Federal Income Tax Preparation assistance to active duty soldiers, their dependents and retirees. Volunteer tax preparers, both Soldiers and civilians, are trained by IRS experts on specialized tax software to provide you with the utmost in quality service. This service is FREE OF CHARGE. Last year, over 3,000 members of the Fort Gordon community utilized these tax preparation services, resulting in nearly $4,500.000.00 in refunds and savings of over $450,000.00 in preparation fees.

Tax Center

Office Procedures – Walk-in services daily. Uniformed military personnel (with spouses, if filing jointly) will receive priority from 1130-1300, Monday through Friday. Saturday services are intended for those individuals unavailable during the week due to work or family obligations. Upon arrival at the tax center, personnel will do their best to provide you with an approximate wait time. Your patience is very much appreciated.
