Fort Gordon Office of the Staff Judge Advocate

The Office of the Staff Judge Advocate at Fort Gordon, Georgia provides a full range of legal and non-legal support with excellence and distinction. A total soldier-civilian team effort that:

  • is an integral part of the Signal Regiment and Fort Gordon community.
  • responds quickly to the legal and non-legal needs of commanders, staffs, soldiers, retirees and civilians at Fort Gordon.
  • Office hours are Monday through Friday from 0730 to 1600. See the Legal Assistance and Claims pages for customer service hours and procedures

Trial Defense Service

HOURS OF OPERATION

OSJA Trial Defense ServicesAdministrative Separation (Chapter) Briefings:

Tuesday/Thursday at 1300.

Soldiers must be seated no later than 1310. In order to attend the briefing, the NCO escorting the Soldier must have two copies of the complete chapter packet; one copy of the original for TDS (potentially available to be picked-up by a Command representative the following day) and one copy for the Soldier’s personal records. If the NCO escort only has one copy of the chapter packet OR if the chapter packet is incomplete, the packet will be rejected and the Soldier will not be seen.


Article 15 (Art. 15) Briefings:

Tuesday/Thursday at 1400.

Soldiers must be seated no later than 1410. In order to attend the briefing, the NCO escorting the Soldier must have two copies of the complete Art. 15 packet; one copy of the original for TDS (potentially available to be picked-up by a Command representative the following day) and one copy for the Soldier’s personal records. A complete Art. 15 packet includes DA Form 2627, dated and signed by the Commander, and all supporting documents (i.e. - counseling statements, witness statements, and any CID/MPI reports). If the NCO escort only has one copy of the Art. 15 packet OR if the Art. 15 packet is incomplete, the packet will be rejected and the Soldier will not be seen.

 
Suspect Counseling:

Walk-in during normal hours of operation.
