Fort Gordon Office of the Staff Judge Advocate

The Office of the Staff Judge Advocate at Fort Gordon, Georgia provides a full range of legal and non-legal support with excellence and distinction. A total soldier-civilian team effort that:

  • is an integral part of the Signal Regiment and Fort Gordon community.
  • responds quickly to the legal and non-legal needs of commanders, staffs, soldiers, retirees and civilians at Fort Gordon.

Trial Defense

OSJA Trial Defense ServicesAdministrative Separation Counseling:

Tuesday and Thursday at 0900 hours

On Tuesday and Thursday mornings, the Trial Defense Service conducts briefings for all soldiers pending administrative elimination.  Doors open at 0900 and soldiers must be seated NLT 0905 hours.  Ensure that the soldier has his/her complete packet in order to attend the briefing.  If the packet is not complete the soldier will have to return for the next briefing day.

Article 15 Briefings:

Tuesday and Thursday at 1000 hours

On Tuesday and Thursday mornings, the Trial Defense Service conducts briefings for soldiers pending action under Article 15, UCMJ.  The soldier must be here by 1000 hours with the Article 15 briefing beginning promptly at 1015 hours.  Ensure that the soldier has a complete Article 15 packet to attend the briefing.  A complete packet includes the DA 2627, dated and signed by the Commander, and all supporting documents such as counseling statements, witness statements and any CID/MPI reports.  If the soldier’s packet is missing important evidence, the soldier will have to return on the next briefing day to complete his/her counseling.

 

Suspect Counseling:

Suspect counseling is available on a walk-in basis.
