The Media Relations Branch is responsible directly to the Public Affairs Officer on all aspects of public information as applicable to civilian media coverage of incidents, accidents, events and activities of Fort Gordon.

Responds to all media queries regarding incidents, accidents, events and activities of Fort Gordon. Serves as releasing officer for all news releases, to include written and verbal releases to media. Serves as liaison between media and the command.

Media Relations

Fort Gordon Media Relations All civilian media must have approval and an escort, if required, prior to entering Fort Gordon. The Military Police may stop all media from entering the post and contact the Public Affairs Office to arrange an escort. The Media Relations Branch typically makes arrangements for media prior to their arrival at Fort Gordon.
