PAO News & Information

The Fort Gordon Public Affairs Office conducts command information, media relations and community relations programs in support of Fort Gordon's Senior Mission Command, the Signal Center, Garrison Command and all other mission partners located on the installation.

PAO provides the post newspaper, assistance to the Signal Center, Garrison Command with emphasis on maintaining effective relationships with national and local media sources and planning, organizing and presenting appropriate information on special events sponsored by the installation and the internal command information program.

Fort Gordon Hosts Summer Camp for JROTC


FORT GORDON, GA – The Regimental Noncommissioned Officers Academy (RNCOA) hosts Camp Semaphore at Fort Gordon from Monday, May 23 to Thursday, May 26.

Camp Semaphore is a summer camp for area high school students enrolled in the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) program.  Approximately 250 students from Georgia High Schools are expected to attend the camp.
Training includes land navigation, rappel tower, first aid, obstacle course and waterborne safety.

The camp provides cadets a challenging, meaningful and practical learning experience while developing leadership, teamwork and citizenship skills.  It also builds self-confidence and discipline through hands on adventure and team building training exercises.
